Guiness world record broken
Late morning on February 16, 2023, George McKinnon of Rock Giants magazine cataloged a 279 mile line of site view, with photos from the snow covered top of Wheeler peak at 13,065 feet, west southwest to the peak of Midway mountain in California at 13,665 feet.
Mountain to left of Midway is Milestone mountain.
FYI, The Guiness line of site record is 275 miles.

West face of Wheeler Peak Nevada
From the paved Wheeler Peak campground at 10,000 feet, a well marked 8.2 mile trail can be easily hiked to the top of this rock giant. This mountain is popular with bird watchers and fishermen.
